How Your Zakat Al Maal Changes Lives?

Through your Zakat Al Maal, you provide vital support to orphaned families.
Your generosity has a direct impact on their daily lives:

  • Food Security: Provide essential food parcels so families can eat healthy, balanced meals.

  • Eid Clothing: Offer orphaned children new clothes so they can celebrate Eid with joy and dignity.

  • Housing Support: Contribute to rent and ensure families live in safe, stable homes.

  • Restoring Hope: Go beyond material aid — bring comfort, security, and renewed hope.

What Is Zakat Al Maal and How Does It Work?

Zakat Al Maal is an obligation for every Muslim who possesses wealth exceeding a specific threshold called the Nisab, equivalent to 85 grams of gold.

In other words:
If the total value of your assets exceeds €5,424.70 over one lunar year, you must pay Zakat Al Maal.

  • 💰 Rate: 2.5% of your total wealth.

  • 📅 Example: If you earned €30,000 this year, your Zakat is €750.

By giving, you not only help those in need — you purify your wealth and heart.

    What Is the Nisab?

The Nisab is the minimum amount of wealth a Muslim must possess before Zakat Al Maal becomes obligatory.
It corresponds to 85 grams of gold, approximately €5,424.70 (as of March 2024).

If your wealth exceeds this amount, you are required to give Zakat — a divine obligation that purifies your wealth and uplifts others.
Through your Zakat, orphaned families regain dignity, security, and hope.

Zakat Al Maal vs. Zakat Al Fitr — What’s the Difference?
    • Zakat Al Maal (often called simply Zakat) is a yearly obligation on wealth that exceeds the Nisab threshold.
Each Muslim gives 2.5% of their total wealth annually.
The Nisab is based on the value of gold (85g) or silver (595g), depending on your chosen method.

    • Zakat Al Fitr is a separate charitable duty, given by the head of each household for every family member before Eid Al Fitr prayer.
It represents the value of one meal, approximately €7 per person, ensuring everyone can celebrate Eid with dignity.
